They were developed from Manchester Terriers
Dobs … My Fav!❤
Magnum n I went to obedience training and walked with him all the time during my pregnancy. A great dog!
I'd play hide n seek with Jett and Tinkerbelle.
My 4 year old grandson could get them to sit, down, stand and touch. It was great!😂
I would stalk Jett and he would stalk me back.😂
I have a Doberman mix with border collie. Apparently they are bred deliberately to not only herd the sheep but also guard the farm. Very intelligent as well as loving❤
I want two Doberman. If I get any dogs.
Doberman must always be bought in pairs, one named Zeus and the other Apollo.
GREAT video as usual. ❤️
But I think all dogs’ behavior is a replica of the humans living there.
Louie is 6 now going on 7. He trained easily and is extremely social with everyone. Contingency sensitivity is his greatest trait. I have taught him to wait for long periods with the command "Wait". The command "Look" puts him on alert at the window watching the street. He used to have bad separation anxiety when he was younger. Now I say every single time I leave the house for work, etc: "Wait and Look". He goes to the window waits and watches the street and does not whine. He instinctively knows I am giving him a job to do while I am gone. Anxiety down. It is also a ritual he clues into somehow realizing I will return. This is one of many things he does reading even my unconscious cues. Incredible companion. I can see why they were such a lifesaver to Marines in WWII.
Dobermann… 2 Ns not one.
They’re not the only dog with that trait you’ve never had an Australian cattle dog, a blue heeler. The dog will stare at you all day.
Doberman’s are FAST.
How fast?
I tried to say hi to my friend’s dobie and he bit my hand. My buddy was right next to me watching.
He never saw the dog move. Neither did I or anyone else in the room.
My fingers weren’t bleeding but they did have tooth impressions.
That was 40 years ago and I remember it like it was this morning.
Yeah. THAT fast.
If your dog has dcm you should avoid any food with sweet potatoes or pumpkin or lintels or regular potatoes as this will aggravate the condition- believe me i found out the hard way 😢
I sometimes wish nobody promoted Dobermans because frankly, most people don't deserve or appreciate what a gift it is to have one. You are spot on in analysis. They are special. I believe they have a soul as much as any person. I have known few people that I respected as much as a Doberman. They are mirrors too. I analogize it like buying a suit, and when you put it on, it tailors to you. If you see a messed up Doberman, look for the defective owner.
All dogs are a ticking time bomb and can or will attack Other dogs without proper training
My grandpa had two dobbie’s . They were so sweet! I loved them I miss them almost as much as I miss my grandpa. ❤
they seem needy
Most distinctive feature my Bock had was his amazing emotional empathy, way higher than most humans
Why do you keep calling them "Domans'?
Malinois is better
Remember my mom's friend having one when I was little, Nazir. Heard many times that they had Nazir before their son, then she got pregnant and her dad wanted to see if the dog is stable and ready to welcome a new member, so he took a doll and kinda acted as if he's introducing a child to the dog. Nazir took the doll and ripped it apart 😂
everyone was like FUCK
But obv the smells didn't match up and the dog wasn't dumb. Soon as the baby came, it would RUN to check up on it everytime he heard the baby cry or make a sound. Very amazing and family oriented dogs, the demonic Egyptian death dog esthetic is just a bonus
I have had professional experience with working dogs for more than 40 years. I have worked with the herding breeds, have friends who had national caliber border collies. My Bouvier had some basic herding training. But my first love are the protection breeds. Both the herd guardian breeds, and those dogs which work with human protection. I have a fair bit of experience with working police dogs, competitive schutzhund dogs, personal protection dogs, and have trained a dog up through the early stages of bite work. Ask anyone active in the dog training world, especially with “biting“ dogs, and they will tell you that Dobermans are no longer fit for protection. I spoke specifically to a trainer with more than 20 years professional experience, who trained dogs both for schutzhund and for police work. He and his clients successfully competed in Schutzhund, having finished multiple Schutzhund III champions. I asked him if he had trained or seen trained any Dobermans. He said that in the last 15 years he had neither trained or seen successively trained Dobermans. There are no police departments that use Dóbermans. The military does not use Dobermans. Why you ask? Because at least in the United States, the AKC has systematically and very successfully trained the grit, the courage out of the breed. What they have done is to make them wonderful family pets, very safe, very nice dogs. 50 or 60 years ago, the breed still had some grit, courage, willingness to use aggression when necessary. I’m not saying that someone who is very good with dogs and understands the working of a dog’s mind might not be able to foster the dog’s self-esteem so as to allow him to be aggressive when faced with opposition. But that would be the rare exception.
As for total and complete focus on their owners, he has certainly never known a Malinois. My Malinois Mia was so focused on me, that just by moving my body, I taught her to sit, down and heel without a collar or leash, or even touching her. And Malinois are brilliant. When I was trying to teach my Bouvier how to “speak”, my Malinois “No Regrets” was watching on the side. And after my first three attempts with the Bouvier, Regret very clearly, very deliberately.”spoke”.
She learned by watching what I was doing with the other dog. The best thing about this is when the Bouvier saw what Regret did, he also immediately understood, and I had two dogs trained to speak on command.
Guy says the myth is trash but i bet there are a lot mor Pitbull owners than Doberman so the graphs needs more
Grew up with Sheapards..Dobermans..Rottweilers. . All my dogs were great protecters..loveable.. good with kids.. well mannerd.. but we're great guard dogs. No one would dare come into our gated yards with out our permission. They knew who was friends and family and who ment harm.
I find that my boxer mix has a similar trait. She constantly watches by body language, how I move room to room, does it appear that I am leaving soon or headed to her favorite coach. She watches everything.
This explains the behaviour of a Dobie at a park I go to regularly. He's a rescue, about a year and a half old. He went after his owner's father who came to visit when he sat down on the couch where he and his owner usually sit alone. I told him the dog was resource-guarding him, and it was very important that he correct him for doing this, every time he displayed it. Unfortunately the guy likes it, so was semi-consciously reinforcing it instead. At this point the Dobie attacked my very mellow dog twice within 5 minutes when my dog approached the Dobie's owner, as he'd done for years. Now I no longer trust the dog, but really it's not the dog I distrust, it's the owner. He makes excuses for his dog instead of taking responsibility and understanding just how owner-focused this breed is. Which can be a wonderful thing, or a bad, dangerous thing. I'll never trust this dog again, and it's not his fault.
Hmm malinois does this too
Love Dobermans…however…who thought it was a good idea to surgically alter their ears…they look like Batman…just odd…😃🦇🌠
I’ve been around 2 Dobermans in my life. One from a puppy and he was always right next to us and rarely barked.
Then there was Jack. He was big for a Doberman and when someone came to the house he would jump up in front of the sliding door and put on quite a show. Some people still wouldn’t come in the house even after we set him down. But it was all show, he was a big baby and loved to snuggle. Great dogs
I think the flaw in the numbers is the population of Doberman dogs to the number of dog bites. The number of bite incidents is going to be much higher if there are more of that breed. If I have 100 Pitt Bulls, 100 German Shepherds and 100 Doberman dogs how many dog bites will I get from each breed. Each of these breeds need an owner that takes good care to control them. They are all powerful dogs.
Dobies are amazing
I love to watch your channel ❤

There are no degrees of an object being “unique”. A thing is either unique or it’s not. But, the word is commonly used to mean special or unusual. An object can be mildly or extremely unusual or special.
Human focused is NOT a doberman only trait. All dogs have that capability. Don't believe me? Step between my gsd and I.
Great Dane and Rotweiler.
Looking for another, my last girl lasted 16 years. Just the smartest most trainable dogs ever. But yeah they need a job or they get stressed and anxious. And they will kill too protect their kin. This is an anecdote, I had a foster white Shepard who didn't like men, I am one, i was trying too calm her down and she attacked me. My younger doberman, maybe 6 at the time, the Shepard was overbred, used an abused and just seeing that that aggression went straight for the shepherds throat, instinctively, without hesitation. I tossed my arm up and to protect the abused bitch and have a scar of the through and through of the bite that would have ended that life. Forearm, between the radius and ulna. They all calmed down after a bit and then I had an exhausted pink Shepard. Me and the dobie went to the vet and got stitches. I later sent the Shepard to the carribean were she worked out her aggression mostly on stray cats that wandered in too her line of sight. The dobie loved everything and everyone.
