My German Shepherd Vince does that behavior he will patrol the perimeter check all the rooms inside. Didn’t train him he just does it . He comes from a line of K/9 paid $6k for him and he’s amazing good investment. On the rare occasion the wife and I bicker a bit maybe my voice get just a little loud he will go stand by my wife lol she babies him some and calls him Vincent 😊
