This Afghan hound used to sneak food every Thanksgiving. 🦃🐶
Hiding it didn’t help. Saying “Leave it!” didn’t stick.
But one mindset shift made all the difference:
Don’t pull them away… Lead them away.
Let the dog choose calm. That’s the real win. ✅

Now my dogs go up to my two sons and eat their food right out of their hands..
I don't know what to do they are pitbull boxer bloodhound and beagle mix

Easy solution your vet has probably already told you – don’t let dogs eats people food.
You avoid behavioral problems.
But you also avoid very serious health problems.
A happy dog knows it’s boundaries.
There are really good dog treats on the market.
Be kind to your dog.
Give those to him instead of human, unhealthy food.
Tell me you look like your dog without telling me you look like your dog
He's not a "food thief!" She's a bad owner/leader!
The dog is not stealing all of the food, obviously 😮
Then we say owners look like your dogs are the dogs look like their owners dog shows what you see
can he have a reward for ignoring the food ? hmmm ? 🤔
Simple answer is: Keep food away from it. Next question please. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂

I've heard of married couples starting to look alike after 30 years, but a dog and their owner? Mother Nature is a made-up scientist.

I've had afghans since I was 16, to 50; last thing on their mind was food; this Afghan is one of a kind😅
She spends alot of time brushing that dog every day. He is beautiful but I wouldn't want one
All AH steel food. It's in their genetic makeup. 😂
Try getting blood work done and seeing of they don't have Cushing's disease. My dog has Cushing's and has non-stop appetite for food and sometimes drinks a lot of water. ❤
I would suggest that Afghan may be on the the way to starvation. Probably not getting adequate nutrition from a diet of mostly kibbles. Try feeding a proper canine diet of raw meat, see if the obsessive behavior towards food decreases.
