      I have a jack Russell terrier and they are full of energy and very loveable and I have to also suggest I know it's not a terrior but I love a Labrador I have one they are very protective and a great family dog

      1. American Pit Bull Terrier. 2. Staffordshire Bull Terrier. 3. English Bull Terrier. 4. Patterdale Terrier. 5. Jagd Terrier.

      APBT been top of my list for more years than I care to count and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Even if the breed gets completely ruined with backyard breeders and fad breeders I will always remember how good the good ones once were.

      Regarding English Bull Terriers. When I go to dog shows these days I am disappointed out how huge they appear to be. I like those working (English) Bull Terriers more although they are not so common.

      Yay for Terriers!
      My List Top 7 lol
      1) Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier (had one growing up and was a beloved dog!)–great energy, gentle, beautiful coat, & long life
      2) Airdale Terrier (also had one growing up and also beloved) same as above, great all around dog
      3) Scottish Terrier
      4) Jack Russell
      5) Kerry Blue
      6) Lakeland
      7) White Highland

      I've owned 4 different terriers in my life jack Russell terrier (not parsons Russell). Patterdale terrier. Lakeland terrier. Staffordshire Bull terrier all working dogs in Scotland and they are all amazing breeds.

      English Staffies are the best family dogs full stop. Super friendly, loyal, great with kids. I grew up with Australian Terriers too, very smart, tough, huge personalities – not overly cuddly – not sure if that's a trait or just the ones we had 🙂

      We've owned a jack russell, 2 patterdales and a jagdterrier. The jagdterrier is diferent level in terms of prey drive, insane. Personally loved my long gone patterdale the most, reached 14 years old and was an athletic specimen, could jump 6ft,fast and strong but also loving. I have a big goody swiss mountain dog right now, diferent dog 😂😅

      I had an Australian terrier cross silky terrier
      Such a great dog .
      So much personality and a great family dog..
      Very loyal, and great backyard hunter , and always let you know if something or someone was around.

      Airedale Terriers are number one. One of the best family dogs we've ever had. Kept solicitors at bay and never and I mean never acted aggressively with our kids.

      A Boston, is not a terrier. Its part of the utility breed group.

      Basically, if a dog can kill something or someone then this guy loves it. 🙄

      I am a Mastiff guy, i owned 4 Cane Corso, two couples at the time, and currently i own a couple off Boerboels, fantastic all together.
      But my first dog was a male Bull Terrier, [RIP 11 years old], past away 2000, and later i owned a female Bull Terrier who past away last year 2024.
      18 years ago my wife adopted a yorkshire terrier, and he is still alive and kicking, the oldest dog i ever owned, i have the feeling this will be his last year but i said that for many years 😊
      Bull Terriers are the best, they make you laugh and cry, they are the clowns of the dog world, if i have to choose one breed to live with for my last years it will be this clown.

      Not in order but here's some of my favorites. Wheaten terrier, bull terrier, Kerry blue terrier, Scottish terrier, wire fox terrier, and American pit bull terrier.

      My top three:
      1) Wirefox terrier – great watch dogs, companions and running partners. With training, I was able to get a dependable recall on two that i owned
      2) Jack Russell – Great with kids and a demon to rodents. Super athletic
      3) Australian Terrier – Very people focused and will usually pick a favorite person, in my experience. Dependable recall
