Our Whippet leapt out of an open upstairs window when she was suddenly afraid of the vacuum cleaner at about 5 months.
She landed on a springy Wisteria vine which saved her legs.
A scary lesson learned.
Fireworks go off here, huge displays over the road. I ignore scared behaviour, too. Even if I say ''it's okaaaaay'' in a soothing voice, she gets scared! Ignoring is definitely best. Or get a nice licky mat out with beef paste.
